Who are you when you show up fully under this Full Moon in Leo?

The Moon reaches full illumination in Leo at 13° Leo on February 1, 2026, at 5:08 PM EST.

Insights about the Full Moon in Leo

Leo is the sign of heart-centered self-expression, creativity, personal pride, and authentic identity. This lunation asks: Who are you when you show up fully? and Where have you dimmed your light to fit in?

Leo and Aquarius axis is one that I personally resonate with. The North Node and South Node will be shifting out of Virgo and Pisces (mutable, earth and water) and into the above axis (fixed, air and fire) in July. I think this Full Moon is a guiding point into this Nodal shift.

The Leo Moon opposes the Sun in Aquarius, creating a polarity between individual self-expression (Leo) and objectivity, community, or group identity (Aquarius). This tension highlights a balancing act: being seen for who you are versus adapting to collective expectations.

With several planets in Aquarius at this time, the contrast between inner heart-truth and outer ideals or community roles is more intense.

Full Moon Opposition — Sun in Aquarius

Classic Full Moon pattern: the Moon (Leo) directly opposes the Sun (Aquarius). This amplifies emotional awareness and the need to reconcile personal heart desires with social context or collective goals.

Moon Opposing Mars in Aquarius

With Mars also opposing the Leo Moon, emotional drive and assertion of personal will become stronger — sometimes as tension or frustration before breakthrough. Expect heightened passion, drive, or conflict if needs for expression and autonomy feel blocked.

Moon Square Uranus in Taurus

A square to Uranus adds unpredictability, sudden insights, or breakthroughs — shake-ups that push you toward greater authenticity. This transit sparks innovation, rebellion against old norms, and the courage to break free from restrictions.

Emotion & Expression

The spotlight is on your authentic self, confidence, self-worth, and creative inspiration.

Relationships & Community

The Leo-Aquarius axis highlights whether you’re giving enough of yourself in relationships or too much of yourself to community roles, expectations, or group identity. We have the Moon opposing not only the sun but Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto all in Aquarius!

Conversations around romance, friendship, or collaboration may come to a head now, with a need for honesty and presence that may stimulate change on a personal and collective level through communication, self-worth, growth, and authenticity.

Personal Growth

Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)—especially if natal placements are around 9 degrees to 17 degrees—may feel this lunation more intensely.

This Full Moon is also preparing you for upcoming shifts in February — especially an eclipse on February 17, 2026 — so what is acknowledged now can’t be ignored.

Practical Tips for Working with the Full Moon

  • Reflect on where you’ve dimmed your light or shrunk to belong.

  • Express your truth gently but clearly — even if it feels vulnerable.

  • Balance individuality with collective roles — you can share your gifts and be part of something larger.
