The Sun Enters Libra
The Art of Coming Back Into Balance
As the Sun moves into Libra, we feel an invitation to pause.
We are reminded to notice.
And then listen.
Not just to what is happening around us, but to what is happening within us.
Libra reminds us that balance isn't necessarily about making everything equal.
Sometimes balance is knowing when to speak…
and when to listen.
When to give…
and when to receive.
When to move forward…
and when to pause.
Our bodies remind us first, but we have to be attuned to their language. Libra rules the hormones, kidneys, and adrenals. Low sugar intake is good with rest and plenty of water.
A tightness in the chest.
A shallow breath.
A feeling in the belly that says something isn't quite right.
These are the whispers of what I call the body consciousness.
Libra season gives us permission to listen.
This is also the season of harvest, the time when we begin to gather what we have cultivated.
I invite you to ask yourself:
What am I harvesting from the choices I've been making?
What has brought me closer to myself?
What has pulled me away?
And where in my life am I ready to create a little more harmony?
Balance begins with something very simple.
A meal.
A table.
A breath.
A conversation.
A moment of actually receiving what is nourishing us.
This Libra season, perhaps the practice isn't to find perfect balance.
The opening is simply to notice when you've moved away from yourself…
and gently find your way back.
The whispers of the soul are not demanding but inviting. As we slow down, listen, notice, and receive as much as we give.
Libra is an air sign, ruled by Venus, and a cardinal sign that likes to take action. That said, we have a month of social activity that says give, but also let yourself receive the energy of peace, harmony, and the ability to have conversations that move you forward in a healthy, satisfying way, not in a people-pleasing way. Libra is full of ideas and creativity to create beauty, peace, and a harmonious environment.
Here is a Libra season Soul Recipe
Pear, Apple & Pomegranate Harvest Salad
Think of this as a balance bowl: sweet, bitter, crunchy, creamy, fresh, and earthy.
Ingredients
Arugula or mixed greens
1 pear, thinly sliced
1 apple, thinly sliced
Pomegranate seeds
Toasted walnuts
Crumbled goat cheese or feta
Roasted butternut squash
A little fresh thyme
Simple dressing
Olive oil
Apple cider vinegar
A touch of maple syrup
Dijon mustard
Salt & pepper
Toss gently and leave the ingredients recognizable rather than overworking them. You can put any type of protein on this salad as well. Libra likes a light protein.
