Innovative Action + Disruptive Potential: This Week’s Taurus Moon & Mars–Uranus Energy

The Moon on February 23 is in Taurus, with a steady, grounded feel to emotional energy. This potential can support and balance the impulsive Mars/Uranus square, which can cause chaos with an edge. We also have Mars in Aquarius. The Moon will bring practical clarity and influence to balance the chaotic energy of Mars and Uranus, stimulating change that can push us forward.

This day, and we will feel this all week, marks a shift from purely personal initiative to collective ambition and future-forward thinking. Mars in Aquarius pushes for change that benefits broader communities or systems, rather than individual ego goals. At the same time, the Mars–Uranus square can bring a “Must act now” urgency, a break from routines, lightning-bolt insights, and sudden personal or collective corrections.

This is good for creative breakthroughs, but it’s best channeled through thoughtful action rather than impulsive decisions.

Heightened Intuition & Emotional Sensitivity: With the Sun, Venus, and soon retrograde Mercury in gentle Pisces, intuition is heightened, empathy and sensitivity are strong, and creative or spiritual pursuits flow more easily. Be mindful of confusion in communication, as Pisces blurs our ability to process information and use logic.

Mercury is in its pre-retrograde “storm” phase. This means communication misfires or delays are more likely near the end of the week (around Feb 26). This can put extra emphasis on review, reflection, and refining plans rather than launching brand-new ventures. As I always say, I love a Mercury retrograde. The universe guides us in this retrograde to get it right, or at least become conscious of our intuition and inner spiritual landscape! Still, being aware of the mundane guidelines for Mercury retrograde is good, but not set in stone.
